Sub-speciality: Oculoplastics, Lacrimal and Orbital Surgery
- Dr Petrina Tan is the director of the Oculofacial plastic and aesthetics surgery service at Eagle Eye centre, and a senior consultant ophthalmologist with a special interest in cataracts and eyelids.
- Dr Petrina graduated from the National University of Singapore (NUS) in 2005 and obtained her postgraduate qualifications – FRCS (Edinburgh) and MMed (Ophthalmology) in 2013
- Her academic awards include that of: Dean’s List (Pathology) in NUS, Best medical officer performance, Emergency medicine TTSH, Gold medal for best performance in Glaucoma in final specialist ophthalmology exams.
- She was part of the pioneering group of doctors to set up Ng Teng Fong General Hospital in 2015 and set up the Oculoplastic division there. She is therefore adept at handling emergency cases of trauma, facial fractures and lacerations as a result of the cases presented at the hospital in Jurong.
- Dr Petrina aims to help her patients to look well and see well. These aims are achieved with listening intently to the patients’ concerns and achieving the best outcomes in good faith, conscience and with the latest proven scientific techniques.
