Dr Wong is a renal physician with clinical interests in diagnostic and interventional nephrology, glomerular and genetic kidney diseases, advanced dialysis, acute kidney injury and continuous kidney replacement therapy.
Dr Wong served as the clinical service director and patient safety officer, Division of Nephrology, National University Hospital, Singapore from 2016 to 2021. He was previously the senior consultant nephrologist at the National University Hospital, Singapore and the assistant professor at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore. He won multiple institutional and national clinical quality improvement awards. He has multiple research outputs across various fields of nephrology.
He is a strong believer of reshaping future nephrology using health informatics, artificial intelligence, and precision medicine.

Completed Advanced Specialist Training in Renal Medicine at the National University Hospital, Singapore in 2013 and obtained specialist certification from the Specialist Accreditation Board Singapore.
Elected as the Fellow of the Academy of Medicine, Singapore since 2014.
Completed one-year fellowship training in vascular access endovascular intervention at the Division of Vascular Surgery, Chang Gung Memorial Hospital, Taiwan in 2016 under the Academic Medicine Development Award.
Elected as the Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians, Edinburgh since 2018.
