An Approach to Chronic Cough in Children

From birth through childhood, the respiratory tract and the nervous system undergo a series of anatomical and physiological maturation. Aetiology of chronic cough in children significantly differs from that in adults. Cough and cold medications may not be beneficial and may cause more morbidity. Hence, the approach and management of chronic cough should be developmentally specific in children.
