Also called “Sonography”, an ultrasound is a non-invasive technique used to view organs inside the body using high-frequency sound waves that are above the audible range. A small transducer with a small amount of water-based gel is used on the skin to obtain best images possible. The signals obtained from the body using the transducer is then transferred and converted to live images in a monitor, providing valuable information for diagnosing and treating a variety of diseases and conditions.

Bone mineral densitometry (BMD), also known as dual energy X-ray absorptiometry (DEXA) is an X-ray test to measure bone loss. It is used to diagnose for osteoporosis, a condition which causes a decrease in density of bones. Our BMD procedures covers the hip and lumbar spine.
