Cystoscopy is a procedure where a flexible tube is passed down the urethra to examine the bladder and the urethra. The tube is as thick as a drinking straw, and has a small light bulb attached to the end of it. The cystoscope (tube) is flexible enough to move through the curves of the urethra. During the procedure, biopsies (samples) taken from the lining of the bladder will not cause major discomfort.

A vasectomy is an effective and permanent way to prevent pregnancy. It is a procedure to block sperm from reaching the semen that is ejaculated from the penis. During the procedure, the male vasa deferentia are cut and tied or sealed so as to prevent sperm from entering into the urethra. Semen still exist but it has no sperm in it. This is best for men who are certain they don’t want children. A vasectomy doesn’t have any lasting effects on sexual activity or performance.
